California visionaries of experimental sound German Army are back with a new album. Golden Dystopia is in fact both a book and an album. The book was first published in 2021, according to the label but I can’t any information about that. So we’ll just have to take their word for it being an ”open door into the mind of German Army, a journey through its concerns, hidden symbols, and ideals”. Whether or not the music is new or not is also not clear, but since their discography is overflowing I assume they release everything pretty consistently. This cassette includes 20 tracks plus a few digital extras that are remixed by Spite Cathedral.
This is a split release with Swedish label Blod, just like the recent album from Merzbow that also came out on both labels.
