Glukoza is a Russian artist who’s probably more mainstream than anyone we have written about before. Even though she’s approaching 40, she decided to take her music in a completely new direction in the past year – taking inspiration from FKA Twigs and hyperpop artists like Charli XCX and Sophie. Her new album Harmony came out via a label called Zion on April 11. It’s so completely different, the music made by two young producers.
She has received a lot of criticism in Russia because of her new image, but then on the other hand she was also banned from entering Ukraine for several years. If you want to know more there’s an interview with her here.
