Blammo and Riboflavin are two lofi punk groups from Atlanta who share members. In fact, on this split-LP they seem to have the same lineup. Both Graham Tavel and Josh Fiegert of Glittering Insects seem to be involved (Tavel recorded and mixed the record and Feigert released it on his State Laughter label). But the heart of the bands is Sarah Prewoznik and Tyler Roberts who both sing and write the songs. I picked up the debut Blammo LP on State Laughter earlier this year from Discreet. That came out in 2021 but has just appeared on streaming services.
Blammo/Riboflavin followed in March and I’ve tried to get in touch with the band but to no avail. So all I can tell you is that these 16 tracks rip, even if they owe a lot to early European post-punk like Carambolage.
