Karmasmatik has been so busy we’ve not been able to keep up, with not one but two releases as Deköm in the last few weeks. The Tunisian producer is showing us that anything is possible if you have a unique vision, such as ‘high frequencies are underconsumed’, which is the title of the title of the Deköm EP that came out on Mrama a couple of days ago. It hold 5 noise-filled tracks, one of which is credited to Karmasmatik (one day I will have to find out what the difference is).
It was preceded on March 14 by a full-on album with 11 tracks and plenty of interesting collaborations, including ones with Huffy Fibryyx and Omar Ayari. This album is called жжж and was self-released like a lot of her previous music. I was still playing 2024 Deköm on the Diminishing Returns show yesterday, I need to keep up.
