Dutch festival Rewire is a few weeks away now and we’d like to tell you about a few more artists to look out for. The collaborative album from Holy Tongue & Shackleton that came out last year was one of the most impressive on AD93 – a label known for its high level of quality. The Tumbling Psychic Joy of Now was the result of a meeting at Intonal festival in Sweden back in 2022. I remember seeing Holy Tongue (pictured) playing there and being blown away.
Sam Shackleton is a British DJ and producer who founded the dubstep label Skull Disco in Bristol many years ago. In April he’s taking that 2024 album to the stage at Rewire with Holy Tongue – which includes drummer Valentina Magaletti, whom I was lucky enough to see a couple of times last year (not least at Dekmantel).
That group have a new record out on UK label Trule, called ”Ambulance”. It’s a classic 45 with two tracks that came out in February. Copies are still available.
