The record D. Tiffany cut with Roza Terenzi in 2022 is a bit of a blueprint to me, for a lot of music I have enjoyed since. Both involved with the Maricas crew from Barcelona. D. Tiff (pictured) has just released a new collaborative record with Maara – another Canadian and Maricas fave. Maara & D. Tiff’s Anthems for Lezzies is a fun-packed 5-track EP for the dancefloors, with the usual amazing art that Maricas are known for.
Furthermore, Maara is launching her new label Ancient Records this month with a solo release on March 28. Big Whoops is a 12” with 4 new tracks by Maara and can be ordered here (her first vinyl release). The aim of the new label is “peace and harmony in the lesbian community”, so have a listen to one of the tracks below to see if it isn’t doing just that.
