Not much is known about Giusy Dej, whose real name is Giuseppina De Iacovo. An Italian artist, known for her italo disco masterpiece ”Walking In the Night”. It was her only release, coming out on Disco In in 1984. That’s the disco sublabel of Durium, from which I have some 60s releases.
The original 7” was reissued in 2015 by the Australian label Mothball, adding two mixes and making it a 12”. The a-side is remixed by Flemming Dalum.
In the mid-80s it was also included on the semi-legendary Touch of Class N.1 Compilation. This was a mixed compilation that furthermore was the only place Ester’s track ”Edelweiss” ever appeared. There was a 4-track 7” version of the compilation and I can see on discogs that someone made a bootleg version of this in 2008. It has the Ester track on one side (the full, unreleased version) and the Giusy Dej b-side on the flip.
