We wrote about Japanese ambient legend Hiroshi Yoshimura back in 2021 when his back catalogue started getting reissued. Now it’s time for his 1987 album Flora, which remained unreleased until three years after his passing in 2003, when PREM Promotion’s cd version came out. The new pressing is a double-vinyl (or cassette) available from Temporal Drift who also reissued the preceding album Surrond a couple of years ago. The Los Angeles label had the 11 tracks remastered and says that they’re like ”taking a stroll in a park, absorbing the colors and textures of the natural environment”.
Listen to the first single below, the full album is out on March 20.
