I found out about the Tokyo punk four-piece 鏡(Kagami) thanks to Going Underground’s list of 2024 favourites. The band put out a demo back in 2021 that you can hear over here. And then in August last year their first EP came out as a joint release between Los Angeles label Advanced Perspective and A-Z Records in Japan. Well, that’s the 7-track 7” – there’s also a tape version from UK’s Brainrotter Records and 3” cd from Rising Voltage in Chile. It definitely deserves such wide distribution, because the sound is perfect.
