It has been a terrible, terrible year, but perhaps that also means it has been a good year for music and other creative outlets. This list in particular has been the hardest to compile, since electronic singles/EPs/12” makes up most of my listening for 2024. I think Sukubratz has been a firm favourite, mainly because I got to see them with Miss Jay at Dekmantel. I have also connected deeply with the music of Legit Girl DJ (who actually had two great releases this year) and Sue Lèwig, both of whom I believe bring something fresh to slowly erased genres. Salome played my favourite DJ set of 2024 and Gutkein along with Huffy Fibryyx continue to amaze me.
