A month ago I was lucky enough to see a live set by Franciska & Emelie – at the Discreet 5-year anniversary event in Gothenburg. I’d seen Jonas Torstensen perform before as Franciska, that time with live piano accompaniment and both shows were heartbreaking. The collaboration with Camille Helt Haarder has also resulted in a new tape as Franciska & Emelie, and I heard bits of this collaboration from hissing cassette decks. It’s amazing to now see Franciska Og Emilie pressed on vinyl (be Discreet of course). The 2-track LP came out in mid-November and is a sonic ode to the town of Odense.
