More new musical discoveries from Scotland continue to be revealed, as the new label Seated Records unearths the history of 22 Beaches. The Stirling post-punk group only released a handful of tracks on various cassette compilation between 1980 and 1984, including one from Glasgow label Pleasantly Surprised (one that also included The French Impressionists, Ludus, Cocteau Twins and The Wake).
Dust: Recordings 1980-1984 came out in May, adding another four tracks to make it an 8-track LP that documents the short career of the 6-piece group led by vocalist Hugh McGregor. The group’s drummer Fred Parsons has shared a number of vhs recordings of their live performances on youtube, check out one of them below.
