The Berlin-based artist Perila (also half of Baby Bong) lands on the Oslo label Smalltown Supersound for her new album. Intrinsic Rhythm came out at the beginning of November and it’s a beautiful double-album with no less than 21 new tracks. Perila, whose real name is Alexandra Zakharenko, is originally from St. Petersburg and has released several acclaimed ambient albums so far. The last one came out just last year on the French imprint Shelter Press. Her new record is a commanding statement, using very minimal means to create a vast variation of textures and timbres.
