RECORD TURNOVER 80s HITS #221
Marco Milanesio and Roberta Ongaro formed the group DsorDne (pronounced Disordine) in Torino in the mid-80s. Having first played in the similarly electronic experimental project Novostj (formed in 1983), their first recording as DsorDne came out on a split-7” with The Legendary Pink Dots that came with an issue of the Snowdonia fanzine in 1987. In the same year a split-album with Sturm und Drang appeared – once again with a fanzine, this time Ristampe Morali.
They didn’t release anything as Novostj until later, and it’s a bit unclear to my how much the bands overlapped in time and with members. Milanesio formed his own label Dax and in 1988 released the Novostj and DsorDne split-tape 1983-1988. It had 4 tracks by Novostj on the a-side and 4 by the other on the b-side. But musically there isn’t a lot that distinguishes one from the other.
In 2019 the London label ACC Records reissued this record on vinyl, and it’s still available. You can also hear the third DsorDne album here, reissued by Dark Entries.
