Producer and fellow music journalist Chloe Lula is one of my favourites at the moment, and she’s got not one but two releases out in November and October. The first one is the Torpor EP that came out on the longtime London label Blueprint a couple of days ago. The 5 tracks on this 12” is a masterful blend of techno, breakbeats and electro.
The other one is the upcoming album Oneiris, which is an experimental return to Lula’s roots as a classical cello player. It moves between electronic and electro acoustic traditions in the search of a new and unique idiom for her compositions and production practices. The 10-track album is out soon on Subtext, who have also released Bela and Ellen Arkbro just to name a few.
