Los Angeles guitar group Mo Dotti have teased us with promisingly adept EPs over the past few years, but I don’t think anything could have prepared us for the greatness of their debut full-length. From the opening riff of Opaque it’s evident they’ve gone straight for the Isn’t Anything-era My Bloody Valentine sound – even getting the LP mastered by Mark Gardener of Ride. It’s not only the closest approximation I’ve heard, they’ve also got the melodies to match. On top of that they’ve had the new 10-track album pressed themselves, and you can also get it on tape or cd.
