Another great early 90s-sounding record that came out recently is the debut album from Oakland’s Blue Zero. Another one of Chris Natividad’s side projects to Marbled Eye. Following Public Interest and Natural Privacy he pulls the curtains back on a new studio project called Blue Zero. It also functions as a live band with members of Sucker and Blue Ocean, and Andrew Oswald (who has also played in Marbled Eye) helped produce and record Colder Shade Blue. These 9-tracks came out on an LP via by Lower Grand Radio last week.
They have released a bunch of mixtapes on the Lower Grand Tapes imprint, but also a handful of vinyls. Pre-order is open now. Check out the video for “Broken By a Glance” below.
