Hitmen is a new band featuring Karim Newble, frontperson of the already gone Island of Love. Island of Love was the London powerpop group that got signed instantly to Third Man and released an album last year. Hitmen feels like a solo project that is slightly darker and rawer, drawing on songwriters like J. Mascis and Billy Corgan. Their debut tape Rock to Forget came out today on Lost Wisdom in the UK and on Urge Records in the rest of the world. 4 tracks that will prove hard to forget.
