Louse is a new band fronted by Sam Souders who was in the early lineup of Cincinnati group Crime of Passing. Two years ago they released their first EP and after Feel It moved into town they picked the group up for their debut LP. Passions Like Tar finally came out a few weeks ago and it sounds huge. Like an American version of Wild Swans or a more punk Private World. These 10 tracks sound like they stepped right out of a murky 80s bar, with a quality of songwriting that far outweighs similar US groups like Lathe of Heaven.
