The term supergroup still feels kinda silly, but if there is one instance where the hand fits the glove it is new London project Gaister. The trio sees Akihide Monna of Bo Ningen pool artistic powers with Olivia Salvadori of Tutto Questo Sentire and Coby Sey. The latter two previously collaborated on a compilation from Elena Colombi’s label. Colombi also appeared on TQS’ release from last year. Bo Ningen is guest-curating Le Guess Who? this autumn and there Gaister will perform tracks from their upcoming selftitled album. It’s out on AD93 one month from now and was recorded in Reykjavik. I bumped into Coby at LungA on Iceland last summer, where he was doing a residency.
