Following Numero Group’s massive Margo Guryan retrospective from earlier this year, I’d expect a lot of renewed interest in her unique oeuvre from the late 60s. At least Sub Pop gathered 12 artists who wanted to give us their takes on some Margo faves. The LP called Like Someone I Know: A Celebration of Margo Guryan is coming out next month and includes renditions from e.g. Tops, Rahill (of Habibi), Frankie Cosmos, Pearl & the Oysters, Bedouine, Clairo, Munya and Kate Bollinger.
The latter (pictured above) has also just released a new album called Songs From a Thousand Frames of Mind.
