Nic Tasker’s London AD93 currently feels like the harbinger of all things great in the UK, with releases by James K, Abyss X and all of Valentina Magaletti’s different projects. The debut album from Martha Skye Murphy is not the exception to the rule, with its wide-eyed experimentalism underpinned by starkly beautiful songwriting. Um is an 11-track album that approaches the greatness of Eartheater and Claire Rousay (the latter appears here too). ”Spray Can” is ingenious.
