Ripple Effect Band is one of the bands I regrettable never got a chance to see while I was in Australia, but perhaps it’s not surprising since they’re from Maningrida in the north. Two singles from their debut album Mayawa came out last year and then a few months ago the video for ”Na-Kalamandjarda” appeared. These are just three of the 9 amazing tracks on the self-released record – sung in five different Aboriginal languages.
