Meth Math is a Mexican project led by vocalist Angél Ballesteros and two producers. Ballesteros also runs the fashion label Baby Angel. With a background in perreo, they took it into the realm of hyperpop when they first appeared in 2020. It took them until the beginning of this year to release their first album, Chupetones, which came out on the Los Angeles label In Real Life. A 9-track LP that’s a “gothic party that plays between neo-perreo and new age emo” in their own words.
