Dark Entries compilation of 80s Mexican synth and electro from 2021 was a success, to the extent that the label has done some more digging, and are not ready to present a second volume. Back Up Dos: Mexican Tecno Pop 1982-1989 is out next month with a fresh batch of tracks, many of which are appearing on vinyl for the first time.
One of the is the María Bonita track, which is from a 1984 demo tape that’s available in full here. Another band that appears is Voces Múltiples (pictured) who released their only cassette tape in 1990. Among the more well-known inclusions are Casino Shanghai and Los Agentes Secretos, the latter of whom were reissued by Sub Culture Records a few years ago.
