Muxxxe is a visual artist and musician based in Tijuana, Mexico, that I happened to come across while in Reykjavik this summer. They were playing a small venue between sets by Ronja and other great local DJs. But when Muxxxe took to the mic the crowded dance floor went nuts, me included.
Muxxxe released an EP back in 2021 and a bunch of singles since then, but recently they announced their debut album Sementerio, to be released this year. The first single and accompanying video ”Entierro” is out now.
