Jonnine of Australian duo HTRK released a new album last month. Southside Girl is a collection of found sounds and home recordings from last winter. It fascinating how much the Christmas period is associated with cold weather in this hemisphere, causing me to think the opening track might be a crackling fire when it really might just be popping candy. The 11-track LP is out via Modern Love, which is Boomkat’s own label for IDM.
