It didn’t take Swiss duo Plague Pits long to follow up their recent album Creatures. While their album from September last year didn’t hit quite as hard as the The Light EP, I’m amazed by the quality of Bukolik – fully recorded and released in 2024. It takes some cues straight out of the Kraftwerk playbook and assembled a kind of ”Future Pastoral” sound – to use one of their own titles. It’s like a cleaner version of The Serfs (indeed ”Echoes” sounds remarkably similar to a certain Serfs track).
Self-released on tape a couple of weeks ago. Check out the video for ”Sleep of the Just” above.
