Secret Boyfriend is an artist that is new to me but who has dedicated the past 15 years to creating and releasing noise – both on his own or through his label Hot Releases which was founded way back in 2008. The Listener’s Guide LP is only the latest of many many albums by Ryan Martin from North Carolina, delving into his more pop-oriented sound. The 10-track album is coming out on Enmossed next and I highly recommend reading the beautiful liner notes from Nick Klein on the their bandcamp.
