When I wrote about Gel’s second album last year I had no idea they would reach their current level of popularity. They’ve appeared on Audiotree, this weekend they’re playing the Roskilde Festival and I can’t wait to see them live. Their new EP Persona isn’t out until August, but you can hear two of the tracks below. And it sounds like their hardcore punk is still up to scratch, if not more. The 5-track EP is coming out on tiny NYC label Blue Grape, what I don’t get it is why it looks like it’s pressed on a 33rpm 12”?
