I can’t even remember how many times we’ve mentioned Faerybabyy on these pages, but we’ve always been holding out for an actual record to make a proper post about the California-based artist. In an interview with Weirdo Music Forever she says she has recently focused more on her music and got an actual manager. On her debut EP Lucky Star, which just came out a week ago, she gathers singles released throughout the year.
The sound is a bit darker than her early recordings and the lyrics to tracks like “Lobotomy Song” and “Nightmares” might surprise you. It’s a short-n-sweep 8-track self-released post-punk masterpiece.
