We’ve been fans of Naarm-based Ela Stiles since seeing her play in 2019. We know she’s been working on a record for a long time, but now Stiles has finally shared her new album coming out in September. Check out the brilliant video for ”Mummy’s Back” below, and if the background looks familiar it’s because that’s Joshua Tree. The 9-track LP called Not a Stranger is coming via local label Felt Sense. I just love it, it’s got the best parts of Saint Etienne and Sade as well as some very 80s sounding guitar.
