I dipped my comb in shochu and ran it through the hair of the night is the rather pretentious title of a new LP from intercontinental trio Bancho Aji/Taste. The members are from New Zealand, Australia and Japan and have previously played in the band Mysteries of Love. The album gathers past material cut in 2009 and some new stuff.
The group put out at cd last year on the small Rochester label Carbon Records and they’re the ones now committing the same tracks (adding up to a total of 12) to vinyl. Expect fierce experimentation and no-wave inspired non-compositions.
