Metro Verlaine is a French duo from the small town of Évreux. They first appeared in 2018, but last week their third album came out. The Pop Sauvage LP comes to us via their Paris label La Cèpe. It’s a short but sweet record with 8 tracks of post-punk intermingled with 60s California influences. Released last week, it’s definitely one to check out for fans of La Femme. It’s such a great band name, with the added benefit of vocals in French that just makes everything sound better.
