Last year Zanias issued the mesmerising Chrysalis which was the most emotional and arguably best work they’ve created. Next month, less than a year later, the new album Ecdysis is set for release on Fleisch. It consists of 8 tracks created during the same period as Chrysalis but with a more ethereal and experimental bent. Partially recorded in the rainforest of Queensland, this album if filled with vocals devoid of lyrics, aiming rather to capture moods and levels of consciousness in the same way that early 4AD acts did.
