In 2023 Faunes Efe wound down Body Musick and kick-started the new label Recs out of Den Haag. Having already released music from several side projects on Recs, one of my favourites was the inaugural release from Renderer – the electro spin-off to Filmmaker. Forwardings feels right at home on the Netherlands scene, with 5 tracks of cold beats and analog synthesizers. The EP came out in September, but make sure you check out the later releases as well.
