We stay in Naarm to discuss the new compilation from Efficient Space called Searchlight Moonbeam. The label that has made a name for itself by stunning reissues from the likes of Stevie Hiett and Karen Marks has also released some equally praised compilations. From Sky Girl in 2016 to last year’s Ghost Riders – the latest one is Searchlight Moonbeam, compiled by the hosts of NTS show Time Is Away. It’s amazing to see someone highlighting old favourites like The King of Luxembourg and the soundtrack of The Killing of a Chinese Bookie. There’s even a post-Elastica project among the 15 tracks on this double-LP.
