Altered States, now based in Nipaluna (Hobart) have released some great stuff back during the spring that I am only just now catching up on. Mary Pearson Andrew, an American artist and once half of High Places, is now based in Sydney and recording as 33. Behind this rather anonymous name you’ll find a treasure trove of experimental pop, coagulating into their 4-track cassette called Bradley. For some reason this music mentally transports me to the late 90s, maybe because the sound has that openness and joy that associate with this period.
