Cosmetics is a Vancouver-based duo that haunted Captured Tracks back in their heyday. Although I kept up with all things CT back then I somehow missed their magnificent singles compilation Olympia… Plus from 2013. I’m catching up now, as they’re set to release their first proper album – ten years later. Baby is fittingly coming out on Minimal Wave next month and includes 10 tracks created last year. At that point the project had been on an extensive break while they had instead recorded as Heaven for the Italians Do It Better label. Two of the tracks are also coming out in alternative versions on an exclusive 45 for Cititrax.
