It’s almost been a year since the last Alien Nosejob album came out – en excellent foray into 70s rock and swagger. But this time Jake Robertson has returned to 60s garage roots for a new LP coming out on Anti Fade and Goner. Those who are old enough may remember The Frowning Clouds from Geelong, which Robertson joined before starting Ausmuteants. The Derivative Sounds of… Or …a Dog Always Returns to Its Vomit which is out in October recalls that era but does the 60s revival without any of the style innuendo.
