While we’re on the subject of The Garden, we might as well mention Fletcher Shears’ project Puzzle as well. They released a new album all the way back in January. But a month ago a video finally appeared for the lead-off track “Love Is a Place to Hide”. When The Rotten Opera came out it had been 4 years since the last Puzzle album. But he has already followed it up with Melodies of Yesterday (2012-2016) which gathers recordings from before Puzzle officially became a project and up until the first album.
In a way it’s a nice companion to his twin’s project Enjoy’s double set called Deep Cuts from 2012. At that time they were breaking through as The Garden, which formed in 2011.
