JJ and the A’s is perhaps the best band out of Copenhagen in a decade, but that’s not also not quite true since they’re split between Copenhagen and Barcelona. Singer Kimia Haghighi is originally from Oakland where she played in the hardcore band Khiis, who were signed to La vida es un mus. The debut EP from JJ and the A’s also came out on the London label a couple of weeks ago. The 6 tracks are fast-paced punk that’ll have you thinking of The Spits or perhaps The Splits. Next month they are supporting Split System for their Danish date.
