Little-known Melbourne trio Hydroplane have had a bit of a revival lately, with last year’s reissue of their only album thanks to Efficient Space. Basically The Cat’s Miaow (without the drummer), the group was led by songwriter Bart Cummings and already three years ago he shared a compilation of their early singles. In September World of Echo are releasing a new double-LP called Selected Songs 1997-2003, which overlaps a bit with the previous (digital only) compilation. But while that one focused on the first two years of the band’s existence the new one casts its net wider.
