Coming back from an ambitious double album is always hard. Cut Worms (or Max Clarke) has opted for the only way that makes sense with their selftitled and third LP coming out on Jagjaguwar next week. It’s a step back to the roots of the first EP, which is still the pinnacle of their career, with 9 unassuming tracks recorded in various placed around New York. His live band, which includes musicians from Mmoss and Habits (some of whom also played on the Anna St. Louis LP we recently featured) bring just the right amount of instrumentation to the recordings.
