Uh Huh is a new band yet again not. The Toronto four-piece used to go by the name Teenanger and have a string of excellent albums to their name of Telephone Explosion. With the name switch and release of their debut album comes a new sound based in funk and dub. Still working with the same label, the 8-track LP came out in April and is reminiscent of 80s groups like A Certain Ratio or The Lines. According to Joyzine, the idea for the new sound materialized after sending drum machines, snare and percussion through a vintage Guyatone amp with spring reverb.
