Cease & Resist – Sonic Subversion & Anarcho Punk In the UK 1979-86 is the title of a new compilation from Optimo Music in Glasgow. I just came out a few days ago and presents a bunch artists around Essex group Crass and beyond. Bands that appeared on Crass’ own label, like Poison Girls, Honey Bane, Annie Anxiety, Lack of Knowledge, Alternative and Zounds are all worth checking out and we’ve featured some of these previously. These 18 tracks were compiled by Optimo’s JD Twitch and Chris Low who is a fanzine maker and drummer of bands like The Apostles, who appear on the LP.
