Laure Briard from Toulouse, France has just released a new album – her first since before the pandemic. A couple of years ago she did a Portuguese language EP together with Boogarins from Brazil but now she’s back to singing in French but also in English. For Ne pas trop rester bleue, Briard has worked together with other songwriters like Vincent Guyot and Julien Gasc to recreate the soft rock of 60s groups like Roger Nichols & the Small Circle of Friends. My favourite track is the Gasc-penned title-track. Out via Midnight Special and Dinosaur City.
