It’s been a few years since the definitive reissue of Dolly Mixture’s only “album” Demonstration Tapes and now you can also get your hands on the singles compilation on vinyl again. Remember This: The Singles Collection 1980-1984 first saw the light of day on Rough Trade’s For Us label in 2011. Now it’s getting a fresh reissue on La vida es un mus’ sister label Sealed Records. The 15-track LP collects all the 7″ and 12″ records from 1980-84 on Chrysalis, Respond Records, Dead Good Dolly Platters and Cordelia Records.
Apparently U2 once supported them at a gig. Sealed also released the Other Music compilation in 2019 – a collection of unreleased songs, version and demos.
Later in 2023 Sealed put out their complete BBC Radio Session, which is a brilliant companion to the singles compilation with some versions their demos that sound a tad more finished.
