It’s been a few years since last we heard from St. Louis synth-punks The Mall, who have now become a duo of Mark Plant and Spencer Bible. A few months ago they released their first full-length called Time Vehicle Earth. The 9-track LP is out on what I believe is their own label Fixed Grin and is rife with analog synthesizers and shouted vocals. While definitely rooted in the 80s, tracks like “Deconstruction” also contain elements of modern dance music.
