Naarm’s Nice Music present the first release from Chloë Smith – a musician, sound and video artist who’s creating an experimental LP called Apotropaic. The 7-track album consists of field recordings, electronics as well as her main instrument, the violone. It’s a custom-built six-stringed baroque version of what later became the double bass. The record is out in a couple of weeks, but you can listen to the title-track now.
